Impact

Strategic impact work plays a crucial role in fostering positive change across society. By addressing social, environmental, economic, and cultural issues through intentional efforts, these strategies contribute to building a more sustainable, equitable, and harmonious world.

Why consider impact?

There is a strong appetite for intentional impact work and corporate social responsibility within our communities, workplaces and as individuals. In a collection of recent surveys:

  • 63% of respondents continue to want CEOs to take a stand on key societal issues

  • 88% of executives know that now more than ever, companies must lead with purpose

  • 76% of global respondents say that CEOs should take the lead on change rather than waiting for government to impose it. And 73% believe a company can take actions that both increase profits and improve economic and social conditions in the community where it operates

  • According to Deloitte, 70% of millennials studied listed their company’s commitment to the community as an influence on their decision to work there

  • 88% say their job is more fulfilling when they are provided opportunities to make a positive impact on social and environmental issue

Impact strategist and film producer, Diana Fisk, understands the important intersection between positive social impact and storytelling. Storytelling has the ability to connect people emotionally, inspire action, simplify complex issues, raise awareness, stimulate dialogue, influences behaviour, build community, and enhance memorability. By harnessing the power of storytelling, social impact organisations can effectively communicate their messages and drive positive change.

Impact is the why that then informs the what, how and when. It is understanding the opportunity we have in the work we create, to truly effect people and communities.

Diana combines her storytelling expertise with unique skills in impact implementation, in facilitating Impact Mapping & Execution Workshops.

Every workshop explores the following:

  • Impact areas of interest (themes), goals and priorities

  • Impact dynamic and environment

  • Short and long term planning / timelines

  • Key stakeholders / community building

  • Impact budget and fundraising opportunities

  • Marketing and communication planning

Workshop participants come away with a very clear impact vision and strategy to take this important work forward.
